Savlon Liquid Antiseptic – Advanced Germ Protection & Wound Care

Savlon Liquid Antiseptic combines Cetrimide and Chlorhexidine Gluconate to deliver powerful antimicrobial protection. It is widely used for first aid, wound cleansing, and personal hygiene, helping reduce infection risks effectively.

🩹 Indications

• Disinfection and cleansing of minor wounds and abrasions
• Irrigation of dirty skin and contaminated areas
• First aid treatment and infection prevention
• Personal hygiene and antiseptic care

🧪 Pharmacology

• Cetrimide: A quaternary ammonium antiseptic with bactericidal activity against gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.
• Chlorhexidine: Broad-spectrum antimicrobial effective against bacteria, yeasts, dermatophyte fungi, and lipophilic viruses.

💧 Dosage & Administration

• Rinse the affected area with clean water.
• Apply diluted antiseptic solution to fully cover the wound.
• Wash gently and rinse thoroughly after application.
• Use as required and discard any remaining solution after use.
• Adult Use: As directed (Cetrimide 30 mg + Chlorhexidine 3 mg per ml).
• Pediatric Use: Use with care in neonates and premature infants due to possible irritation.
